West Brom: James Morrison expects to be fit for clash with Fulham
Feb 12 2009 by Christopher Lepkowski, Birmingham Mail
JAMES Morrison expects to be fit for next Sunday’s game at Fulham after pulling out of Scotland’s get-together this week.
The Albion midfielder had a pain-killing injection before last weekend’s game against Newcastle to ease a groin injury.
He was also still suffering the effects of a tight hamstring, which prompted Albion to seek permission to withdraw him from George Burley’s squad.
But Morrison hopes Albion’s training break in Spain will ease his injury worries.

He said: “I had to have an injection in my groin 10 minutes before kick-off to be able to play against Newcastle on Saturday,” he said.
“I’ve never had to have one before in order to play a game.
“To be honest, I hope I never have to have one again because it really hurt.
“I should be okay for the Fulham game without an injection.
“At the moment I’m just working in the gym because I can’t train on the surface at the indoor pitch, where the rest of the players are training.
“The weather here and Saturday’s result have made me depressed and I can’t wait to get away.
“We’ll be working hard over in Spain – it is business.”
