ALBION legend Tony Brown has backed a blossoming fans’ campaign to ‘Bring Back The Brummie Road’.
The ‘Bomber Squad’, inspired by supporters from fans’ site westbrom.com, want to inject some noise and atmosphere back into The Hawthorns’ traditional home end.
Martin Greenwood, who has helped spearhead the project, met club officials this week and was given positive feedback. And now the Bomber, who spent 17 years at the club, has lent his support to the project.
Brown, Albion’s record appearance holder with 574 and leading goalscorer of all time with 218, said: “I like the sound of this – good luck to them.
“Fans should make as much noise as possible to get behind the lads during the game.
“The Hawthorns is the place to be when the fans are in good voice, especially the Brummie Road Stand.
