West Brom: Season to be decided in next four home games?
Tony Mowbray has told his West Brom players they have to win their next four home games to have any chance of surviving in the Barclays Premier League.
The Baggies have to face Bolton, Stoke, Sunderland and Wigan at the Hawthorns in the next two months before the visit of Liverpool in May.
Albion are six points adrift of the safety zone after a 3-1 home reversal against Arsenal on Tuesday courtesy of some dreadful defending.
Manager Mowbray said: "I am not setting a points target in terms of what we will need because I don't know how the other teams are going to do around us.
"But we do have home games coming up against Sunderland, Wigan, Bolton and Stoke. They have got to be won to give ourselves any chance.
"We have had some good days at home this year. We won three in a row in December and January - the first time we had done that in the Premier League.
"We've got to find some more good days before the end of the season.
"Come those matches, hopefully the crowd are still there, still supporting us. We will be giving it our best shot to win those games."
Mowbray will monitor goalkeeper Scott Carson in training and see whether he is affected by the number of goals that are being put past him - 17 in the last six league games.
The England international has appeared hesitant and lacking in confidence in recent games although that may have been caused by the poor defending in front of him.
