West Brom: Morrison haunted by prospect of relegation
ALBION midfielder James Morrison has revealed the mental agony he is suffering because of the club’s current position at the bottom of the Premier League.
The Scotland international has been one of Albion’s best players this season but finds it hard to switch off from their desperate battle to survive in the top flight.
But the former Middlesbrough player has urged his team-mates not to panic and believes the Baggies still have enough games remaining to revive their fortunes.
Morrison said: “Being at the bottom of the table is horrible. It preys on your mind when you are away from the club.
“It affects you mentally and that is tiring.
“On the pitch it is a lot more tiring mentally this season compared to last year.
“Any mistake in the Premier League is costly and the level of concentration you need does take it out of you when it’s something new to most of the lads.” Morrison added: “It’s difficult to keep things in perspective but it doesn’t help if people react too much.
