West Brom star gutted after West Ham draw

West Brom skipper Jonathan Greening took responsibility for his side's failure to beat West Ham at Upton Park tonight.

Albion came within inches of a victory at Upton Park that would have breathed life into their Barclays Premier League survival fight.

Shelton Martis hit the bar at Upton Park and Greening missed the clearest chance of a lifeless 0-0 draw.

The point moved them six points from safety but it could so easily have been a first top-flight win in London after 10 failed attempts.

But Greening told Setanta Sports: "I think I probably should have put my chance away and got us all three points.

"We knew it was going to be a difficult game, Gianfranco Zola has got them playing well, but I thought we did all right tonight."
