Tony Mowbray says West Brom won't play Bolton at their own game

Mowbray’s side battled their way to a goalless draw at the Reebok Stadium earlier this season and were, in many respects, unlucky not to win.

He feels more of the same will be needed.

“When you prepare for matches you try to prepare for what the opposition do then focus on your own team and how you can give them problems,” added Mowbray.

“Having studied Bolton for a few games we generally know the way they play and the questions they ask and we have to make our players aware of the demands we’re putting on them and we send them out to try to deal with it. If Bolton score through a ball into the box and Davies knocking it down for someone to score, it’s not through a lack of preparation, it’s through a lack of ability to deal with certain players.

“We wouldn’t be the first team to suffer from what Bolton do very well but we have been to the Reebok this season and coped very well in a game where we felt we should have got more than we did.”
