Shelton Martis intent on making an impression at West Brom

SHELTON Martis is hoping to convince Albion to exercise their 12-month option on him.
The Dutch Antilles international will be out of contract at the end of this season, although the Baggies have a clause which enables them to retain his services for another year.
The 25-year-old looked set to end his two-year stay at The Hawthorns after making just a handful of appearances and effectively being the club’s fifth choice centre-half.
But his Albion career has been given a reprieve following his elevation to the Baggies first-team recently, which has produced two impressive performances on his part.
“I just want to keep my form going and for the team to keep getting points,” said Martis.
“I have about two months left on my contract and after that I don’t know.
“I’m not thinking about it – I’m concentrating on staying up and that’s the main thing so I’ve not had any talks with the manager yet.
