Unsettled Hoefkens can quit West Brom in summer

“I have always said that if players want to leave I’ve got no problem with it.

‘‘Carl should come and see me and we will try to facilitate whatever he wants as long as it fits into the business model of our club.

“We’re not in the business of giving people away but if Carl feels he sees his future elsewhere then so be it.”

Marek Cech has twice voiced his disatisfaction this season having failed to break into the Baggies team.

Mowbray added: “I would prefer those conversations are in-house but Carl is a good professional and a good man and I am pretty sure he has been caught off-guard with those comments. It’s unlike him.

“I’ve got no problems with Carl. We’ve had a lot of conversations and he is a good professional and a good man who has found himself out of the team because I have picked other players.”
