West Brom coach Peter Grant backs Tony Mowbray to return a stronger manager

TONY Mowbray has been backed to learn from this season and become a better manager in the process.

Albion first-team coach Peter Grant knows Mowbray better than most and feels that the under-fire Baggies boss will bounce back from his experiences.

Grant, offering an insight into Mowbray’s current predicament, feels his stock remains high.

“He will come out as a stronger manager,” said Grant, who took charge of training with No.2 Mark Venus yesterday after Mowbray was forced home through illness.

“You learn every day. He’s a wonderful manager and proved that, not only here, but in Scotland.

“He’s done fantastically well. It’s an indictment on the league if West Brom aren’t in it.

“Speak to any of the top managers and they all say the same thing, they appreciate what he is trying to do and the way we are trying to do because it’s probably the hardest way.
