West Brom boss: We will be back!
Tony Mowbray believes West Brom can mount a serious challenge for a quickfire return to the Barclays Premier League if they can keep hold of their key players.
The Baggies look doomed to the drop after just one season in the top flight as they are seven points adrift of safety with only six games remaining.
But Mowbray is optimistic their absence from the elite can be short-lived if the likes of Jonathan Greening, James Morrison, Robert Koren, Jonas Olsson and Marc-Antoine Fortune remain with the club.
Mowbray said: "If we go down we will be strong next year. If we keep people like Greening, Koren, Morrison, Fortune and Olsson, I believe we would be strong in the Championship.
"Hopefully we would do the same as we did last year and play our way out of the Championship.
