Jonathan Greening: Top flight lesson for West Brom players

JONATHAN Greening believes the unforgiving nature of the Premier League will help Albion’s more inexperienced players next season.
Nine of the 14 Albion players who played a part at Manchester City on Sunday had not kicked a ball in the Premier League before this season.
Some of those players, such as Jay Simpson and Marc-Antoine Fortuné, will not remain at the club next season when Albion’s relegation is confirmed, but Greening feels the top flight will have served as a valuable lesson for the rest.
“We’ve got a lot of inexperienced players,” said the Albion skipper.
“To have had this year and the experience of playing against the world’s best players is good.
“The Championship is a difficult league as well and if they get another 40 games under their belt they will come back stronger.
“I remember when I was 22 I hardly played and made about 30 appearances for Manchester United as a sub.
