Jonathan Greening: Top flight lesson for West Brom players

“The more games you play the better you become.

“Playing week in, week out is the best thing that can happen to you.”

Greening feels the potential is there for Albion to return back to the Premier League in a far stronger position.

He continued: “Even if we go down this year, the main aim is to bounce back as quick as possible, not just for the club and fans but just for personal ambition as well, to strive to do better and test yourself against the top players again – the best players in the world.

“The gaffer and chairman will identify targets to bring in if we do go down.

“Players the manager thinks will make the team stronger next year. That’s the manager’s job and he’ll know in his mind who he’d like to shift on and who he’d like to stay and be part of a promotion bid next year.

“Hopefully we’d bounce straight back. Everyone knows the Championship is probably just as hard as the Premier League to get promoted from.”
