West Brom star James Morrison hopes to be back before season's end

“I’ll almost certainly miss Saturday’s trip to Tottenham but I haven’t written off my season.

“The problem could heal in a week. Alternatively, it could take more time.

“That’s why I’ve just got to take every day as it comes.”

Morrison admitted he was disappointed to miss last Saturday’s win against Sunderland.

“I’d been stuck indoors for five days so it was nice to get out and support the lads on Saturday,” he added.

“The team were terrific and the long overdue three points were thoroughly deserved.

“It’s just a shame we couldn’t have got this win a few weeks earlier but it’s certainly given us a glimmer of hope.”

■ Graham Dorrans has been called-up to the Scotland B squad for their friendly against Northern Ireland on Wednesday, May 6.

The midfielder, who is hoping to shake off a minor foot injury in time for Saturday’s trip to Tottenham, is part of George Burley’s 17-man party for the Broadwood Stadium, Cumbernauld, clash.
