West Brom coach calls for a final push

"We keep going.

"We've taken it to the last home game of the season.

"If we can take it to the last game of the season then it would make it a great day.

"But we know it's not in our control. I am just pleased that we've won two of the last three and both they (the players) and the fans have given it everything.

"We've given the fans something to cling onto which I'm really happy about.

"The whole point of being in the Championship last season was to get out.

"As management and fans it's the only League to be in. It's unforgiving and difficult but it's the only place you want your team to be in."

Venus gave his verdict on Albion's season.

"We've pitted our wits against the best," he added.

"There have been a collection of things which haven't helped us.

"Soft goals conceded, not scoring enough before January, the balance of the team wasn't what we wanted - although it's better now.

"We've found ouf feet now - whether it's too late, we'll find out over the next game or two.

"There a lot of things we've learned."
