West Bromwich Albion to swoop for Glasgow Rangers star Barry Ferguson

West Brom are considering an audacious summer move for Rangers midfielder Barry Ferguson.
The Baggies have looked into the feasibility of signing the ex-Scotland captain for next season's Championship assualt.
And the Birmingham Mail understands that Ferguson even attended Sunday's game against Liverpool as a guest of the club following a brief tour of Albion's facilities.
Ferguson seemingly has no future at Ibrox following a major breach of discipline while on Scotland duty.
The 31-year-old, who was then captain of his country, was dropped from the World Cup qualifier against Iceland following an extended drinking binge after the Tartan Army's defeat in Holland.
The ex-Blackburn man and team-mate Allan McGregor were banned from representing Scotland again after being photographed making two-fingered salutes during their exile to the bench.
Those gestures incensed Rangers boss Walter Smith so much that he stripped Ferguson of the Rangers' armband, dishing out two-week suspensions and fines to both players.
Smith has made it clear that Ferguson will be allowed to leave this summer.
But if Albion do decide to pursue the Glaswegian - their interest is still very much at an early stage - then they may need to overcome several hurdles.
