West Brom face another season without a shirt sponsor

West Brom are bracing themselves for another season without a shirt sponsor.
Chairman Jeremy Peace has admitted that he will not undersell what is effectively a major source of revenue for the club.
The Baggies were unable to secure a deal last season despite talks with several multi-national companies throughout the close season and up until around Christmas.
A figure was never released by Albion but I understand they were looking for around £700,000 a year.
And Peace is more than happy to keep the blue and white stripes brand-free if no one matches his financial expectations.
“There are no developments,” said Peace.
“We have a choice, as we did last year, when we could actually sell shirt sponsorship for the commercially available amount or wait for a more strategic special partner who we would perceive paying the right amount.
“Last year we talked about international exposure, the Premier League going to 600million homes worldwide and therefore there needed to a price for that, not just what the markets were tellings us.
“We got really close to having a company on the shirt who would have paid the right level and then the whole of the Far East fell apart so we didn’t complete that one.
