West Brom have rejected a £2million offer, plus a player swap, from Fulham for captain Jonathan Greening.
The Londoners offered a cash offer and a choice of one of three of their players, one of whom included ex-Blues loanee Hameur Bouazza.
The Baggies have made it clear they have no intention to sell their influential skipper, who is keen to pursue a move to the top flight.
Greening, who was today put through his paces along with team-mates during an early morning run at the team's training camp near Ptuj, realises that, at 30, this may be his last opportunity to secure a move to a top flight club.
His desire to move was strengthened by the departure of his close friend Paul Robinson, who joined Bolton on a season-long loan deal on Saturday.
But Jeremy Peace has spelled it out that Greening is not for sale.
