Keeper Scott Carson pledges loyalty to West Brom

Scott Carson

SCOTT Carson is sticking with Albion after revealing he has no plans to jump ship, despite the club’s relegation.

Paul Robinson quit Albion at the weekend, joining Bolton on a season-long loan deal which becomes a £2 million permanent move next summer.

There is a temptation for Carson, an England international, to follow suit, not least as the coming season will build up to the World Cup in South Africa.

But Carson is more than willing to stick around.

When asked about whether he would be staying, he said: “Definitely. I signed a four-year contract, so I am going to see that out.

“Hopefully we’re going to have a good season and get the club back up into the Premier League where it belongs.”

Carson admitted last season’s poor performances had troubled him.
