Marek Cech faces West Brom decision day

"Yes of course the new gaffer is okay and it (The departure of Mowbray) can help me this season so we will see what will happen over the next few days.

"It's also good that Paul has gone.

"It frees up a space to maybe play more games so it may be good for me to stay.

"For sure I need to play because our national team is top of the group. We're close to getting to the World Cup and I don't want to lose my place in the national team.

"My main target was to play in the top league but now I'm in the Championship I still have a contract with West Brom.

"We will see what the decision is - it may take a few days, maybe a few weeks.

"If it's decided I stay then I will take it professionally. But these are things I need to consider before a decision is made."

Meanwhile, Roman Bednar was back at the training ground yesterday.

The Czech Republic striker is still suspended pending the outcome of an FA inquiry and the subsequent conclusion of the club's internal inquiry.

But Bednar, who has been issued with the No9 shirt for this season, is permitted to train on club premises on his own, provided it is when the first-team are absent from the training ground.
