THE Hawthorns has been chosen to host England’s Under-20s home friendly against Montenegro on August 11.
Head coach Brian Eastick and his squad will use the fixture (7.45pm) to prepare for the FIFA under-20s World Cup.
“I think the venue is excellent,” said Eastick.
“There will be a good playing surface and a nice environment at The Hawthorns.’’
Tickets for the international clash are now on sale at the East Stand ticket office, priced only £3 adults and £1 concessions.
■ Albion have rubberstamped the £650,000 permanent move of Sherjill MacDonald to Belgian top flight club Germinal Beerschot.
They have also inserted a 15 per cent sell-on clause in the sale. Albion paid £520,000 – including two loan fees – for the former Dutch under-21 forward.
