Why I want to sign winger - West Brom boss

"He is a player we are looking at but nothing has been done yet.
"I'm very happy with the squad at present.
"But I'd like to add something to the squad which we haven't got yet.
"We're working on that and in general I'm pleased.
"We will try and bring in a few more but we need to make sure a few will leave."
Recent new arrivals Joe Mattock and Reuben Reid played 90 minutes in last night's 2-0 Carling Cup victory against Bury.
Di Matteo was pleased with their displays.
"Reid's only been with us for 10 days and he's not had the best pre-season so I was pelased to give him 90 minutes," said Di Matteo about the ex-Rotherham forward, whose pre-season preparations were hindered by speculation over his future.
"He has a lot of potential.
"The new signings did a good job and showed their potential and will do well in future."
Di Matteo will now need to decide whether to keep faith with Mattock or hand a recall to Cech.
"I love tough calls," added the head coach.
"What is is important is the team and that as a team we win. As a player if you don't play you can be upset but we are all working towards the same goal. That's important."
