West Brom: Call for warm welcome back for Roman Bednar after drugs ban

“Hopefully he can put his mind together and be focused and concentrated on the field and, of course, the rest of the team need to help him to do well in training.

“After that, hopefully, he will get a chance to play and score goals.

Koren says the club’s ten-point haul from four league games has set them up nicely for a promotion push.

“We all knew it was really important to start the season well,” he said.

“We got the points that we wanted, which is really good for our confidence, but we need to be concentrated on every game.

“It’s a long season and there are still 42 games so there is nothing done yet.

“The league has just started so we need to be concentrated and focused on the next games and show that at the end of the season we will have enough points to go back up.”

Koren says smiles are back on faces after Albion’s relegation from the top flight and loss of manager Tony Mowbray.

“Our team has changed quite a lot compared to last year,” he said.

“Of course last year was a big disappointment for us but we said that we need to stick together and we are trying to do that in training.

“We have put the disappointment from last season behind us.”
