Revitalised Luke Moore on Roberto Di Matteo’s wavelength at West Brom

LUKE Moore has revealed that he fully bought into Roberto Di Matteo’s blueprint for Albion.

The ex-Villa man looked set to leave this summer after falling out of favour under previous boss Tony Mowbray.

But Moore’s flagging career was given a reprieve following the departure of Mowbray to Celtic and the striker has not looked back since.

He has scored twice this season and, more so, impressed with his overall performances.

He admits Di Matteo’s presence has helped matters.

“I feel good,” said Moore. “I am just trying to contribute and help the team get promoted because that’s the main aim.

“It’s clear to everyone that I feel more involved and that’s really important.

“The gaffer relies on me and that’s the main thing. I know that he counts on me and, in football terms, we have a lot in common.

“We see the game the same way and we want to play the game the same way and I think that always helps.
