West Brom boss hopes to avoid loan market

"Joe Mattock is doubtful to and Marek Cech won’t be available for this weekend.

"Hopefully the injuries we have are not long term and for one or two games we can get by without using the loan market."

Meanwhile, Di Matteo has no decided yet whether to fine Thomas for his dismissal at the Emirates.

The Albion player slapped Jack Wilshere in the face after the Arsenal man made a comment.

Di Matteo added: "I'm still debating whether or not to fine Jerome.

"Obviously he was provoked and you have to take that into consideration.

"He feels very sorry and has apologised to everyone.

"He knows that he let the team down and I think he is very sorry about that.

"I think it’s a real shame because he had played a full game in the games before and he was just coming along nicely.

"Now it’s going to break it up again for him - it’s kind of a shame."
