Carson: West Brom can't afford to underestimate Barnsley

Scott Carson

“You are going to lose games and have poorer performances over a 46-game season but we have to put these kind of things behind us and look forward to the next game.

“We will be ready for tonight’s game.”

New Barnsley boss Mark Robins is no stranger to Albion this season having brought his previous club Rotherham to The Hawthorns for a Carling Cup tie last month.

His side lost 4-3 after extra time, with Carson warning that Barnsley cannot be underestimated, despite their poor form this season

“It’s going to be a really tough game,” he continued.

“Mark Robins brought Rotherham to our place and gave us a tough game so he will have done his homework on us then.

“We’re going to have to go there and concentrate like we did for the first eight games.

“We have to earn the right to play and if we do that then I’m sure we will get back to winning ways.”
