Robert Koren:West Brom can reap rewards

ROBERT Koren believes West Brom will be celebrating come May, provided they master the demands of the Championship.

The midfielder came off the bench during the 0-0 draw at Preston in a much-improved Baggies performance following two dismal displays against Crystal Palace and Barnsley.

Koren has been pleased with the reaction to their previous games and is generally happy with their start.

“I think we surprised people and from the beginning we have shown we can achieve success,” said the Slovenian.

“It’s a long season and we need to stick together – the plan is to celebrate as a club at the end of the season.

“But in the previous two games before Preston our standards dropped.

“This league shows that everyone can beat everyone else and we still have the belief despite those two defeats.

“This is such a tough league. You need to be strong, physically and mentally.

“When the team has difficult moments this shows your character.
