West Brom boss is wary of Reading

Roberto di Matteo

One player who could figure, depending on Luke Moore's fitness and Di Matteo's choice of formation, is Simon Cox.

The ex-Swindon man, who has yet to open his League account for Albion following his £1.5million summer move, has struggled to make an impact during his few appearances for the side

He comes up against his home town club tomorrow, which is also where he started his career.

But Di Matteo insists there will be no sentimentality when it comes to his team selection.

"I haven't named the team yet so we will see who's available before I make my final decision," he added.

"For Coxy it's the same as everyone else - if you have players in front of you then it's hard.

"When you get the chance you have to grab it and take the opportunity.

"That's what it's like for everyone else.

"He's been at Swindon for some time since then - yet do I believe in players doing better against former clubs? Probably not."
