West Brom's Cech is focused on promotion

"I have a new gaffer who says something and it’s true.

"I like working under him.

"I came here as a defender and the people here at West Brom, including the last gaffer, knew I could play in midfield.

"They didn’t try me too much there. They tried me in the first game at Arsenal on the right side.

"It’s difficult for me to play on the right side against a big, strong team away from home.

"It’s easier for me to play there against smaller teams on the right than on the left.

"I don’t have a best position. I am happy that I am playing the games and am in the first XI - that is my priority. Whether I play on the right or the left I will do my best.

“But if I could choose where to play it would maybe be as a left midfield player.

“I feel better on the left because of my left foot and I like to attack more."
