“I was just paralysed down the left side and terrified.
“It was something I’ve never had before.
“For one week I couldn’t do anything. I saw the oestheopath and they cracked me a few times. After that it got better and better.
“I played ninety minutes on Monday and I’m fit for Saturday. Whether I can play a full 90 minutes I don’t know but I feel great.”
Bednar was pleased to be back on the pitch in Monday night’s game against a hapless Burton side.
He scored once with strike partner Chris Wood scoring twice, along with Reuben Reid.
The Czech international was pleased with the timing, not least as Simon Cox and Luke Moore both scoring in the first-team’s 5-0 win against Watford.
“It’s crazy when I’m injured they didn’t score - now I’m fit they are all scoring,” joked Bednar.
“It was good to score on Monday.
“It was a good game for everyone. It was an easy game as you could see by the scoreline but I just wanted to score and stay fit.”
