“Youssouf and I have a bit of banter in training,” said Dorrans.

“He’s said he’ll get ten, I said I’ll get ten so hopefully we can both try and get that.

“Confidence is high in that respect, especially as I got one at the weekend.

“I was pleased with that goal. There were a lot of bodies and it sneaked in so I was pleased.

“I’ve had a good run of games under my belt and I feel good in games. Hopefully I can keep on scoring.”

Gonzalo Jara also scored his first Albion goal in Saturday’s 2-1 win against Leicester.

The Chilean has impressed with his ability. “Gonzo’s been great, he doesn’t even speak the language yet he’s settled in well,” added Dorrans.
