Morrison pledges to be fully firing for West Bromwich Albion by next season

JAMES Morrison has conceded West Brom fans may need to wait until next season before they see the best of him.
The midfielder has recently returned to the first-team fold after almost ten months out of action.
Morrison missed the entire first half of the campaign due to an ongoing heel problem, which prevented him from maintaining his fitness.
Consequently, he is still playing catch-up in the fitness stakes, even though he has played sporadically for Albion in recent weeks.
He expects to be fully firing in 2010/11, once he has undergone a full pre-season’s training.
“I haven’t played for the last three matches so I was just glad to be back on the pitch in Saturday’s game (against Reading),” said the Scotland international.
“In the second half I came into it more when I started drifting about and getting involved, which I enjoyed.
“I don’t really feel 100 per cent yet. I still feel a long way off but I just look forward to getting on the pitch.
“I think there was one time in the first half when I made a little run and I was breathing heavily and wandering what was going on.
