Olsson: West Brom axe helped me find new qualities

JONAS Olsson admits that he had to find ‘new qualities’ within his game to cope with his first ever omission from the West Brom first-team.
The Baggies centre-half was left out of the opening game at Chelsea, being replaced by Pablo Ibanez.
But the Swede was recalled the following week, in place of Pablo, and has been in excellent form since.
He claims that being axed for the 6-0 drubbing at Chelsea was, in some ways, what he needed to provoke a response.
“I was disappointed to not start against Chelsea,” Olsson told the Birmingham Mail.
“It wasn’t a shock because I knew the gaffer hadn’t yet made his mind up over certain positions.
“But you have to react to that and accept that.
