Scott Carson rallies depleted West Brom

Scott Carson

SCOTT Carson has called on West Brom to not feel sorry for themselves as the injuries and suspensions mount.

The Baggies take on West Ham tomorrow night with Roberto Di Matteo knowing he will have to reshuffle his side yet again.

The Albion boss is already without Jonas Olsson for several weeks with an Achilles injury and he will need to check on Nicky Shorey, who picked up a knock to his ankle during the game.

Steven Reid, meanwhile, was still struggling with a slight Achilles problem but his return will be more pressing following Youssouf Mulumbu’s dismissal against Manchester City.

James Morrison could return following his recent knee problem but the Baggies will still be without Gonzalo Jara, who serves the second match of his three-game ban, with Mulumbu also suspended for tomorrow.

It means Albion will need further patching up before they take to the field at Upton Park.

But Carson is confident the team will have no problems coming through.

Even so, the Baggies captain cites the loss of Jonas Olsson as a major setback. The centre-half could be out until mid-December.
