West Brom: Brunt accepts side will be under pressure

CHRIS Brunt insists Albion can handle the pressure when they take on the lesser-fancied Premier League sides, where there will be a greater expectation on Roberto Di Matteo’s men to take points.
The Baggies now turn their attentions to tomorrow’s game at Wigan Athletic after Wednesday’s 2-2 draw at West Ham.
Di Matteo, speaking in the pre-match press conference before Albion’s trip to Upton Park, was keen to play down suggestions his side were fancied to get a result in the two fixtures.
He argued that both the Hammers and Latics have, despite their relatively slow starts to the season, spent many more years in the top flight and are wiser to the demands of the Premier League.
He also pointed to Albion having the second lowest budget in the Premier League, with only Blackpool’s being less.
But in-form winger Brunt accepts there will be pressure on Albion, from supporters at least, to bring something home from the DW Stadium this Saturday.
“West Ham need to get points on the board and we knew when we went there it would be a tough game because of that,” he said.
