West Brom: Eddie Newton has no complaints with outcome following Albion horror-show

EDDIE Newton admitted Albion got what they deserved following a desperately poor exit from the Carling Cup.
The Baggies were beaten 1-0 by Ipswich but the scoreline was generous to Albion, who were awful throughout.
Assistant manager Eddie Newton struggled to contain his anger and disappointment after the game.
But he admitted that he and Roberto Di Matteo had no regrets about making nine changes to the starting line-up and making only one substitution (Ishmael Miller for Marc-Antoine Fortuné) during the game.
“We have no regrets about the changes,” he said.
“We have been doing it since the beginning of the competition.
“We’ve stuck by it, we showed faith in our players who had been doing well until tonight.
“But it was a poor performance, individually and collectively – from start to end.
“We didn’t show enough desire, we didn’t turn up and therefore we paid a big price, all apart from James Hurst who was a debutant and was fantastic.”
