EDDIE Newton felt sympathy towards Jonas Olsson who was sent off just 14 minutes into his comeback match following a two-and-a-half-month lay-off.
The Baggies centre-half was shown his first yellow card just 96 seconds after coming on as a second-half substitute.
He then received a second booking just before the hour mark, leaving Albion a man down for the seventh time this season.
Olsson, who has only just recovered from a partially-torn Achilles tendon, will now miss Saturday’s Premier League game against Blackpool.
Albion’s assistant boss Newton said: “It just sums up what’s going on at the moment.
“I feel sorry for Jonas.
“He’s been working really hard, he’s been frustrated and he just wants to get back.
