JONAS Olsson heads into this weekend’s re-arranged Black Country derby admitting that he was celebrating the postponement of the original fixture.
The defender was sidelined with an Achilles tendon injury when Albion were originally due to face Wolves on December 19.
The game was called-off due to heavy snowfall, but the Swede was not complaining too much.
And Olsson cannot wait for tomorrow’s midday fixture to start.
“I heard a lot about the rivalry,” Olsson told the Birmingham Mail. “The best day of my rehabilitation was when the Wolves game was cancelled the first time.
“I was very happy with the snow falling so I am really looking forward to tomorrow’s game.
“These are the games you look forward to in your career.
“I played for NEC Nijmegen when our rival was Vitesse Arnhem – the atmosphere then was massive.
“Everyone at the club, the staff, players, you knew the game was coming. And this game I was looking forward to.
