YOUSSOUF Mulumbu is winning his battle to be fit for Monday’s trip to Stoke.
The Albion midfielder missed the Black Country derby with a hamstring injury but should resume full training tomorrow.
Graham Dorrans has felt no further discomfort since hobbling off with an ankle injury on Sunday and Jonas Olsson is expected to shake off a bug.
Scott Carson, meanwhile, is better following illness.
“Youssouf is progressing very well,” said boss Roy Hodgson.
“We are still monitoring him and doing it under controlled circumstances, which is always the case with slightly strained or pulled muscles.
