ROY Hodgson has warned Albion fans to brace themselves for a testing April as they prepare for the final game of this month.

The Baggies take on Arsenal this afternoon before next week’s international break.

They will return to action for a busy period next month, with homes games against Liverpool, Chelsea and Villa included amongst two away trips to Sunderland and Spurs. Hodgson believes the coming weeks will be tough for all concerned.

“We have a happy club here,” hesaid.

“We have people who want to play and enjoy their football.

“Victories do improve that and defeats deflate but we now have a very tough period of games coming up playing the top clubs in the country so it’ll be an interesting test.

“We will be playing clubs who are going for the Champion League or still wanting to win the Premier League.

“They will come to The Hawthorns thinking these are games they can win. It will be an enormous challenge.

“We need to be ready, willing and prepared but it’s sometimes how good the players are and how good the opponents are.

“April is a month where we have a lot to deal with. It might affect confidence and well-being.

“March was a honeymoon period where we had few games.
