JAMES Morrison shrugged off his ‘hero’ status – admitting that he felt nauseous during the game following his sickening head injury.
The Baggies midfielder, who celebrated his 100th game for the club, needed ten minutes of treatment after clashing heads with Laurent Koscielny.
He re-emerged wearing a huge head bandage, having had five stitches to seal his wound.
The Scotland international said:
“Everyone is looking at me and saying ‘hero’ but I just wanted to carry on playing.
“I know it wasn’t my best performance but I like to think I worked hard with the lads.
“You know what players are like. They just called it a little scratch and called me Terry Butcher.
“It was a nasty knock and it hurt like hell but you get them in football.
“I was a bit dazed at first but it felt like just a bump on the head where you have to rub it.
