JAMES Morrison revealed he tried to convince referee Anthony Taylor to be lenient towards dismissed Diniyar Bilyaletdinov.
The Everton substitute was sent off within a few minutes of coming on following a crunching challenge on the Albion man.
Morrison admitted he took evasive action by trying to jump out of the way and revealed there was minimal contact.
Everton boss David Moyes was so incensed by the official that he refused to speak to the media after the game.
“I jumped out of the way,” said the Scotland international. “I tried to tell the referee it wasn’t a dangerous tackle.
“These days you can’t fly in but I told the referee he didn’t touch me but he said it was dangerous.
“I am a nice guy, maybe too nice.
