JONAS Olsson wants to be part of Albion’s future, hoping the Baggies will embrace the shift towards being an established Premier League club.

The giant Swede still has two years left on his current Albion deal and hopes his ambitions will run in tandem with the club’s aims.

He feels the Baggies are on the right path – both on and off the pitch.

“Definitely, we need better players to push on forward,” he said.

“We’re a Premier League club for a second season and we need to raise the bar in that respect.

“It would be nice to stay up but in terms of being professional and attracting better players we need to build.

“We’re going to California this summer not Holland so that’s a step up – little things like that.

“I always enjoy living in new countries, learning new languages.

“I could see myself playing in Italy or Spain or Turkey.

“But it was always my dream to play in the Premier League and I’m happy to have another shot of my dream.

“I am grateful to be here and striving to be climbing another step on the ladder.

“I can see myself here for a long time but you have to set new targets and dreams to do even better.

“If you’re playing in Holland then you want to play in a big league like England.

“If you’re playing in England you want to get an even higher club.
