Arsenal v West Brom: Darren Carter reveals key to succeeding against Gunners

ORGANISATION will be key to Albion’s hopes of securing a second successive victory at the Emirates Stadium.

So says Darren Carter, the ex-Baggies midfielder who famously scored a Hawthorns winner in a fixture between the two clubs in 2005.

Carter has recently been analysing Albion games for the BRMB/Beacon radio network.

He believes Albion have what it takes to produce another upset, despite the odds being heavily stacked against them.

Carter said: “The key is organisation when you come up against Arsenal.

“If you look at the sides who generally do well against them then it’s always teams who hold a good shape. You know the quality that Arsenal bring with their players but being disciplined and well-drilled can help against them.

“I’ve never worked for Roy Hodgson but I know lads who have.

‘‘And the one thing they always say about him is that he’s very big on discipline and making sure the players know every job and responsibility.

“You can see it by the way they are set-up that it’s quite a big factor.

“It’s the best way against Arsenal.

“The other thing is that when we played them they were probably an even better side than the one West Brom will be facing tomorrow.

“When we beat Arsenal (in 2005) they still had quite a few of the ‘invicibles’.

“They went 1-0 up and then Kanu equalised. Our equaliser changed the game and the mind-set.
