Jonas Olsson
JONAS Olsson has cleared up talk of stalling over a new Albion deal by re-iterating how happy he is at the club.
The Baggies centre-half said that he was unhappy at how his interview with a Swedish newspaper was recently misinterpreted and insisted he remains fully focused on his job at The Hawthorns.
Specifically requesting to talk to the press, Olsson confirmed his ambitions of stepping up a level in the future.
But he stressed that his whole-hearted approach towards playing for Albion would never change.
“I don’t really like it when people take an article from another language and try to translate it, especially taking bits and pieces out of context,” he said.
“When you translate an article some of the dynamics of it and the humility is taken away.
“I was asked about my future and I spoke my mind. I said I am very happy here, I’ve had four good years here and I am very grateful and happy for where I am.
“But I think it’s important that in this business or any business you be professional.
“Being professional for me is about having dreams and ambitions and I think that’s important wherever you are.
“You can be happy and grateful for where you are but you cannot be satisfied.
