SCOTT Allan might have to wait for his first Albion start, although he could make the bench tomorrow.
The midfielder, who signed from Dundee United earlier this month, played in the reserve game against Swansea on Tuesday.
Roy Hodgson watched the match and while some aspects of Allan’s game impressed him, other parts need improving.
The Albion boss might well include him on the bench but a starting berth is less likely.
Hodgson said: “He is not ready to start. We have a style of play where we need our players to be in tune, not just when they’re on the ball but when they’re not on the ball.
“On the ball, I would say he could go in and play Premier League football tomorrow, but he’s got a lot to learn in terms of his positional play and what we expect of players when the ball is lost and how we expect them to defend, how we expect them to take up new positions.
