EDDIE Newton claims West Brom players are having to grow up fast as they prepare for tomorrow's game at Coventry City.
The Baggies No2 reckons the average age of the usual first-team is around the 23-mark and is learning as it goes along.
Roberto Di Matteo's men travel to the Ricoh Arena tomorrow, hoping to extend their three-game winning run at Coventry's stadium - having scored 10 and conceded no goals in their three games there.
Newton believes Albion's less experienced players will be tested during the campaign.
"They're having to grow up because it's a young squad," he said.
"It's one thing to be individually very talented but it's another thing to handle the demands of the expectation of being an ex-Premier League team who are expected to bounce straight back.
