THE heavy conditions didn't help, but this was an uninspiring affair.

Chances throughout were at a premium and Graham Stack, in the home goal, had a quiet opening 45 minutes while his counterpart, Ryan Esson, although the busier of the two goalkeepers, was seldom troubled.

When he was beaten, in the final minute of the half, Darren Kempson was on hand to clear Charlie Mulgrew's header off the line.

There was little to lift the spirits of the small crowd at the Bucks Head in the second half until the 70th minute when Jimmy Ryan took advantage of a poor clearance to hammer home a low shot from 25 yards to put the Shrews into the lead.

But it took the Molineux team just three minutes to level matters - Elliott Bennett skilfully taking Jamie Clapham's through-ball beyond the reach of Esson before shooting into a vacant net.

WOLVES: Stack, Dunleavy, Malone, Gleeson (D Davis 83), Breen, Mulgrew, E Bennett, Salmon, Hughes, Hemmings, Clapham. Not used: Lumley, Winnall, K Bennett, Williams.
