A GOAL down after just ten seconds, a young Wolves side hit back to take the points at Bloomfield Road last night.
Wanderers’ equaliser came from Adlene Guedioura, who was playing his first game since breaking a leg against Aston Villa back in September.
The Algerian international played for the 90 minutes with no problems and will doubtless add to Mick McCarthy’s hopes of Premier League survival.
Things looked bleak for Wolves when The Tangerines scored straight from the kick-off – James Beattie chipping advancing keeper Ardiano Basso.
A strong Blackpool side dominated the early stages and Brett Omerod and Malaury Martin both went close to increasing their advantage. But, as the game progressed, Wolves grew stronger and they fully deserved Guedioura’s leveller – a low, angled shot from 25 yards in the 59th minute.
Nathan Rooney scored the winner 15 minutes from time, curling a shot from 22 yards just inside the post.
Wolves: Basso, Whittall, Cranston (Parry 45), Guedioura, S. Griffiths, Ihiekwe, Mujangi Bia (Kempton 82), Rooney, McAlinden, L. Griffiths, Hemmings. Unused subs: Cotman, Kellerman.
