Nomad McIndoe on move

"I’m pleased with the players we have got and the cover we have for that position.

"It was a good deal for the club and the player."

As well as Jarvis and Jones Wolves also have Stephen Ward capable of playing on the left wing and, at a push, the right-footed Lewis Gobern.

Even so, McCarthy will be keeping his eye on the Premiership loan market for a possible left-sided midfielder amid the more pressing need for a left back.

"Bristol City are an ambitious club who won promotion last year and I’m looking forward to working with the squad," said McIndoe, who scored three goals in 32 Wolves appearances.

"They have shown ambition and I’m also working with a manager (Gary Johnson) who I’ve worked with before.

"I very much want to settle down now and focus on my football."

Johnson confirmed the two had patched up their differences after their time together at Yeovil, when McIndoe left the club after handing in a transfer request on the eve of their arrival in the Football League.

* WOLVES kick off their pre-season programme tomorrow with McCarthy fielding seperate teams in each half at Grays.
