MICK McCarthy admits Wolves' pre-season spending is "just about done" after making Michael Gray his fifth summer capture.
Having already snapped up Matt Jarvis, Darren Ward, Freddy Eastwood and Stephen Elliott for almost £4million, the Wolves boss is now looking more towards possible outgoings rather than new arrivals with the season two-and-a-half weeks away.
"More than likely that's the end I would have thought," admitted McCarthy. "We seem to have cover in all areas so are probably just about done.
"It might now be a case of having to lose a few, nobody is interested as yet but we'll just have to see what happens."
Despite last night's 1-0 defeat to Doncaster, McCarthy was still able to take away positives ahead of today's reserve friendly with Brighton in which several first-team regulars were set for 90-minute runouts.
The Wolves boss appears likely to split his squad again for friendlies at Northampton and Hereford next Tuesday and Wednesday, before naming what he believes to be his strongest team for the final run-out against Reading on Saturday week.
"Generally it's the team which plays the week before which starts the season so that will be interesting," he added.
